Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Moose Jaw will be commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation with special showings of the movie “Luther” for the general public in October.

In the 2003 film, Joseph Fiennes stars as Martin Luther, whose defiant actions changed the world. This epic movie traces Luther’s extraordinary and exhilarating quest for the people’s liberation from the firm and merciless grip of the Church on 16th century Europe. Martin Luther issues a shocking challenge to secular and spiritual authority and the people declare him their hero.

The movie will be showing October 20 & 21 starting 7:00 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Drive [on 9th Ave NW south of the TransCanada].
